The world’s largest Civilian transport aircraft ANTONOV (AN124) recently landed at Kolkata carrying a 59,000 Kg payload from Canada for Baghjan in Assam for the snubbing operation.
- Since both Guwahati and Dibrugarh airports in Assam cannot accommodate such an aircraft, hence it landed at Kolkata.
- The specialized snubbing truck was unrolled from the aircraft and loaded onto a trailer and is being driven to Baghjan and may take upto 7 days to reach Baghjan.
