The 6th meeting of the 29 members GPAI Ministerial Council was held on 3rd July 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi in a hybrid mode under the chairmanship of India.
After extensive discussions and deliberations, the members came to a consensus about the future vision of Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI).
The 2024 GPAI New Delhi meeting and the consensus reached on the future of GPAI underscores India’s leadership in the global AI discourse, cementing its pivotal role in steering the ethical and inclusive development of AI.
India is the current chair of GPAI. The chairmanship of GPAI will now be transferred to Siberia.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) is a multi-stakeholder initiative which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.
Launched in June 2020, GPAI (“gee-pay”) is a multistakeholder initiative.
GPAI Secretariat is hosted at the OECD.
It is 29-member (including India) international initiative.
