The 4th edition of the Khelo India Youth Games saw athletes from over 36 states and Union Territories compete in 25 different sports.
- Haryana state emerged as champion by getting the top position in the medal tally with 52 gold, 39 silver and 46 bronze medals. Haryana grabbed a total of 137 medals.
- Maharashtra got the second position by winning 125 medals including 45 gold, 40 silver and 40 bronze medals.
- Karnataka remained in third place with 22 gold,17 silver and 28 bronze medals.
- By the end of the games Manipur succeeded to get a fourth place with 19 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals and Kerala slipped to fourth place in the medal tally by winning with 18 gold, 19 silver and 18 bronze medals.
About 4th Khelo India Youth Games
- The 4th Khelo India Youth Games were held from 4 June to 13 June in Panchkula, Haryana.
- Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah had inaugurating the Games during a high-octane Opening Ceremony at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex on 4th June.
- ‘Jaya’ the black buck and ‘Vijay’ the tiger were the mascots for Khelo India Youth Games.
- The name of the Mascot for Haryana for Khelo India Youth Games-21 was ‘Dhakad’.
- Five traditional games namely Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta, Mallakhamba and Yogasana were part of the Khelo India Youth Games 2021.
