Union Minister of State (independent charge) for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the “27th International Congress on Glass (ICG), 2025” at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata.
The ICG 2025 is being organised from January 20-24, 2025 by CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR-CGCRI).
The last ICG congress was held in India in the year 1986 which was inaugurated by the then President of India Shri Giani Zail Singh.
The ICG 2025 is being hosted by CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata (CSIR-CGCRI).
The theme of ICG 2025 Congress is “Glass: A Smart and Indispensable Material for Sustainable Society”.
