Union Minister of State for Textiles Ajay Tamta on 9 February 2018 inaugurated India Pavilion at Ambiente 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Ambiente is one of the oldest established and well-known consumer goods trade fairs for presentation of new products, new trends and new innovations. Similar trade fairs are held in Delhi, Shanghai and Tokyo.
- This fair attracts around 1,50,000 trade visitors from all corners of the world.
- Mainly houseware, decorative, home furnishing, fashion accessories, Christmas decoration and wooden handicrafts are displayed at the annual fair.
- Germany is major market for Indian products and Ambiente is an important marketing medium for Indian companies world over.
- About 4,500 exhibitors from 94 countries are participating this year.
- With 445 exporters India is the 3rd largest participating country of Ambiente 2018.
- This year five master craftpersons will present their live demonstation through their skills of marble inlay, paper machie, jamaver shalws, kundan meenakari and gold nakashi work.
