Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Budget 2022 speech on February 1 said a Digital Ecosystem for Skilling and Livelihood or DESH-Stack e-portal will be launched to empower citizens to skill, reskill or upskill through on-line training.
- It will also provide API-based trusted skill credentials, payment and discovery layers to find relevant jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities.
- A realignment of the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) was also announced in accordance with the dynamic needs of the Indian industry so as to reorient skilling programs and partnerships with the industry in a manner that continuously promote skilling avenues, employability and sustainability.
