Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on December 21, 2019 launched YSR Nethanna Nestham at Dharmavaram of Anantapur district.
Objective
- The Nethanna Nestham aims to extending an aid of ₹24,000 every year for each handloom weaver family.
- The scheme will provide financial aid to about 85,000 families across the State for five years. Of the total 85,000 beneficiary families, 27,000 weavers belong to Anantapur district, including 10,700 from Dharmavaram.
- The total amount a family would get by the end of the term would be ₹1.2 lakh.
According to the state chief minister, Rs 24,000 will be credited directly into the bank accounts of the weavers having own looms every year. The amount will not be adjusted to the old dues of the beneficiary to the bank. We have already spoken with banks in this regard,
